Fuckin painting first year is as Fucking stupid as the idea of a damn reindeer.
If I had known that we’d be painting babies first year, I definately would have waited a year to go to my school of choice… Which was Sheridan. I’m not saying that I don’t love the school experience, I’ve met some awesome people and all, but this fuckin art program is KILLING me. If you’re thinking of going to Guelph for studio art, be prepared for it to suck a whole lot of cock.
Hopefully next year is a lot better.
P.S if you do choose this school, rip on prof. Rechio so hard she quits. She’s making me hate art.

Welcome to another edition of #SICKWALLPAPERSATURDAY, where every Saturday I post a sick computer background that I found on the internet in the past week. For those who have been following my blog, I neglected to post a wallpaper last Saturday. If I remember correctly, I was extremely busy that day so we won’t count that as missing a post. I’m quite happy I forgot actually because it gives me a chance to say something I should have when I started this feature. Let me put this to you straight:

I’m not here to fucking hold your hand through this shit. So you can cry all you want, but guess what? I don’t give a fuck. It’s not my problem that you’ve had the same computer background for more than a week. If you’re too stupid to do a google image search than I don’t even want you reading my blog.

I’m not suggesting you use every wallpaper I post. Don’t use me as a motherfucking crutch. Cause sometimes a crutch will break. And sometimes a crutch doesn’t feel like posting another fucking stupid background on to a blog that nobody reads. 

My goal with #SICKWALLPAPERSATURDAY is to encourage the act of switching up your computer background. This blog, including this feature is a non-profit venture. I’m not getting paid for this shit. So you can complain all you want but remember I’M DOING YOU A FUCKING FAVOUR.

Now that I got that out of the way we can get down to business.

Some people don’t realize how important a computer wallpaper is. It is often the first thing you will see when you log on to your computer. It makes sense that your background should reflect the mood or state of mind you want to be in while browsing the internet or using your favourite programs.

So I’ve chosen this week’s sick wallpaper as a reminder that I’m not always going to be there for you

I’m loving the vibe of this Jam session.  It makes me just wanna chill, and do what I love. And for Tyler’s first jam it’s a fucking sick one, DAT PIANO.

I don’t understand people who “hate” Odd Future or Tyler. I assume they don’t understand hip-hop or the tradition of the “young rapper” before maturity, and how that stage is the most fun to watch. I’m not proclaiming that we’ve found the saviors (although I’d argue that we haven’t been this close in a bit), but videos like the one above with the Bad Bad Not Good kids, who already have Internet fame from remixing OF songs to be jazz, convey the early Redman vibe Tyler gives off without even knowing what I’m talking about. It’s fun, and so what if his first album is a tad forgettable, maybe we can finally allow a rapper to get better with age and stop complaining about how Nas will never top Illmatic.

I don’t think it’s a creative choice to draw attention to songs like this. I’m sure everyone who listens to Binaural remembers Soon Forget more than other songs. The problem is that not everyone will listen to Binaural. Not that it is a perfect album or anything or that it is a must listen.

Just that I wish more people listened to albums. Songs can be and are great on their own, but by just listening to what you hear on the radio or what someone recommended you, you miss out on songs like Soon Forget. The songs that go beyond something that you are just hearing. The songs that remind you that music is an art-form.

Albums aren’t just a collection of songs. They are an art-form unto themselves that can be as rewarding an experience as the greatest of films.
